the SELVEDGE is the edge that holds a fabric together — the boundary that keeps it from unraveling. it feels like the right metaphor for this space: a place to hold the edges of my work, to notice what gathers there, and to share the small stories that form as cloth, image, and memory meet in the studio.

SELVEDGE STORIES is a place to share the small movements of my studio, the experiments with cloth and image, and the ongoing process behind each piece. it exists so i can trace the work as it unfolds, one cut, one layer, one decision at a time.

SELVEDGE STORIES follows the COLLAGE process at my table — the cutting, rearranging, layering, andand quiet revisions that shape each piece. it’s a record of how images, inherited fabrics, and scraps of cloth come apart and come together again through touch, intuition, and daily practice.

each day begins a process that grows through these small moves: cutting, undoing, layering, letting the materials argue with each other until a direction starts to appear. it’s slow, intuitive work, built from touch and repetition, each decision opening the next.
